Commercial Release Management

Coordinated plugin, documentation and store release process.

Use this process for every new Instant Language Switcher release.

1. Finalize the plugin version

Update the plugin header, IST_VERSION, changelog and release notes. Run syntax/package tests and create the final customer ZIP.

2. Update documentation

The documentation must be updated at the same time as every new Instant Language Switcher version number. This includes:

• current version badges
• Changelog
• feature/reference changes
• screenshots/workflows where behavior changed
• downloadable static docs package
• editable docs project package
• WordPress Documentation plugin content/version coverage

3. Register release

Upload the candidate ZIP under Stardetha Licensing → Releases. Confirm:

• plugin identity is Instant Language Switcher
• version matches the intended release
• SHA-256 checksum is recorded

4. Configure the EDD update

Attach the approved package/version metadata to the commercial product/update configuration and add the release changelog.

5. Staging validation

Use a licensed staging site to test:

• license check
• update discovery
• protected package download
• upgrade over previous version
• translations/data retained
• premium features still entitled
• public multilingual frontend still works

6. Publish

Only publish broadly once both the plugin package and matching documentation package are final.
