DeepL Provider
Configure and use the preferred direct provider.
DeepL is the preferred direct provider in the plugin UI.
Configuration
Open Instant Languages → Settings and select DeepL API — preferred.
Configure:
- DeepL API key
- API plan: Auto detect, API Free or API Pro
- formality preference
- model preference
The plugin handles the correct DeepL API host based on the configured plan/key behavior.
API-key handling
The DeepL key is sent only from WordPress server-side requests. It is not included in the frontend switcher payload.
HTML and protected structures
Before provider calls, the plugin protects structures that must survive translation, including WordPress shortcodes, placeholders, URLs, email addresses and other tokens. HTML-capable batches can be sent in HTML mode.
Diagnostics
Use Instant Languages → Automatic Translation to verify the provider before launching a large job. Diagnostics can expose connection status, supported languages and usage information where available from the provider integration.
