Google Cloud Translation
Configure Google Cloud Translation Basic v2.
The plugin supports Google Cloud Translation Basic v2 as a direct provider.
Configuration
- Obtain a Google Cloud Translation API key.
- Open Instant Languages → Settings.
- Select Google Cloud Translation or Auto.
- Paste the API key and save.
- Run provider diagnostics before starting a large job.
When Google is useful
Google can be used as:
- the primary provider
- a fallback in Auto mode when DeepL cannot handle a requested language/pair
Security
The key is stored in WordPress and used only in server-side provider requests. It is not printed back into the Settings form after saving and is not sent to the frontend switcher.
